What to Expect

You’ve got questions, we’ve got answers. One of the goals at our office is to have our patients truly informed and active in managing their eye care. To make your visit more comfortable, here’s a list of questions that are frequently asked by our patients. Click on a question to see its answer.

Dear Patient,

It is the responsibility of every one of our employees —including physicians, administration, office staff, research staff and technicians — to provide care in a healing and respectful manner to those suffering from vision threatening medical conditions. We provide care to all people who come through our doors, regardless of socioeconomic status, religion, sexual orientation, or race. Likewise, the Retina Specialists of Michigan family is composed of people from all walks of life. As we strive to treat you and every one of our patients with the utmost respect, we expect you’ll reciprocate the same courtesy toward our staff and other patients.

Please be mindful, if we receive complaints from staff members or fellow patients regarding the behavior of a patient, we will fairly investigate the matter, speak with the responsible person, and if appropriate, discharge the person from our practice. We strongly feel all people deserve equal respect and rights. If you do not agree with this philosophy, we would recommend another practice for your ophthalmic care. We would be happy to provide the names of other trusted specialists in the area upon request.
